The Legends of Hockey Over-40 Men's League is a recreational league founded several years ago in Gardner, MA. Regular players must be 40 or older, and substitutes must be at least 38. The league doesn't allow checking or slapshots. There are currently four teams, and rosters are set each season through a draft run by the League President and the team captains. Each team has 10 skaters and a goalie. The season runs about 30 weeks, from September through April, and ends with a three-week round-robin playoff and a championship game. All games are played Friday nights at Veterans Arena in Gardner.
